Cali came home in 2009, petite and tortoiseshell and already certain she had found her people. From then on, every apartment, every move, every version of home had her small body at the center of it.
She had opinions about closed doors, empty laps, late meals, and being ignored for even a minute. She announced herself like the house had been waiting for her voice. Most of the time, it had.
What she wanted, always, was nearness. Through the pandemic years, through ordinary nights, through every guest who became her guest too, Cali made love loud and impossible to miss.
She kept her own calendar. Breakfast had a time. Laps had a schedule. The last patch of afternoon sun belonged to her, and the whole house learned to plan around it. Fourteen years of small routines, and every one of them was really just a way of saying stay close.

What if I don't have great photos of them?
That is more common than you would think. The photos do not have to be perfect to be precious. Send the blurry favorites, the cropped screenshots, the old phone pictures — we will design around what you have, gently restore what we can, and show you a proof before printing.
How soon will I see it?
Most books are designed, proofed, printed, and delivered within about 10 days after we receive your photos and memories. Keepsake and Heirloom orders include priority review and usually arrive in about 7 days. If this is for an anniversary, birthday, or hard date coming up, tell us.
Can family members add memories too?
Yes. A partner's note, a child's drawing, a sibling's favorite story, even a text someone sent after they passed can belong in the book. We can keep words exactly as written or help shape them gently so every voice still feels like itself.
What if I'm not ready yet?
Then you are not late. Some people begin the week it happens because they need somewhere to put the love. Some begin years later because they finally can. You can save your photos, start slowly, pause, and come back when it feels possible.
